PSYC 271 - Applied Behavior Analysis
A consideration of various applications of learning theory and conditioning principles to social and individual problems. Techniques such as systematic desensitization, aversive conditioning, social modeling, token economies, and self-control procedures (e.g., biofeedback) are described. The application of these techniques is examined for a variety of problems, e.g., anxiety, psychotic and antisocial behaviors, phobias, alcoholism, smoking, and sexual dysfunction. Prerequisite: PSYC 101 General Psychology.
