HLTH 222 - Public Health and Epidemiology
An overview of the field of public health, including social, behavioral, biological, and environmental determinants of population health. Topics include health disparities; principles of epidemiology and research methods; disease prevention and health promotion efforts at a population level in both national and global settings; study of vulnerable populations; and emerging challenges for the field of public health. Prerequisite: Any 100-level mathematics course.
