GEOG 111 - Visualizing Social and Environmental Justice
An introduction to the use of computers, drones, satellites, and other technologies to investigate, analyze, and visualize changing global environments and social and environmental justice issues. Injustice thrives when hidden, but the suite of new technologies now available, about which students learn in this class, is used to address data privacy concerns, humanitarian needs, human rights abuses, disease clusters, and inequitable access to food and water. The tools in this course are utilized by those in the humanities, business, social and behavioral sciences, and STEM to solve complex problems across the globe.
