ENGL 225 - Introduction to Journalism
An introduction to the profession of journalism providing historical background, basis for libel, and other fundamental, technical and legal knowledge for journalists. Students produce extensive writing in a variety of journalistic formats, such as news, features, and op/ed pieces. The course also investigates current issues in contemporary journalism by analyzing a wide range of newspapers. Prerequisite: Completion of Common Core Writing Requirement (ENGL 110 Expository Writing).
