An introductory study of information systems from a business problem-solving perspective. Topics include technical and organizational foundations of information systems, the use of information systems to support critical business operations and to achieve strategic objectives, common approaches to building information systems, and management of information system resources. The course emphasizes the use of computers to analyze, coordinate, and solve organizational decision-making problems. Note: Students may not receive credit for both this course and BADM 208 Microcomputer Applications in Business.
