ANTH 258 - Men and Masculinities
An examination of the cultural forces that drive people to assume particular masculine identities, with a strong emphasis on cross-cultural interpretations. Students also examine the social and cultural forces that shape a person’s experience of masculinity including race/ethnicity, social class, sexual identity, and ideas about gender. The course also addresses contemporary issues related to masculinities
