SOCI 340 - Sociology of Work
An investigation of the varieties of work and its role in people's lives. Students examine how gender, social class and historical forces influence entrance into various occupations as well as the timing and sequencing of work and career-related events. In addition, students address issues such as sexual harassment, unsafe working conditions, and worker satisfaction. Prerequisite: A 100-level Sociology course or permission of instructor.
