NUTR 427 - Nutrition In The School Environment (0.5 Course-Credit)
An update on current issues in child nutrition including a study of nutrition and health education curricula to promote coordinated school health in the Commonwealth’s K-12 schools. Students develop nutrition education programs integrating the classroom and cafeteria including lesson plans to educate teachers, child nutrition program staff, students, and parents/care givers. Prerequisites: NUTR 478 Community Nutrition. Coordinated Program in Dietetics concentration students only.
