ENGL 331 - News Writing
A rigorous examination of news writing with emphasis on accuracy, journalistic conventions, and deadlines. Students cover a variety of news events. The course explores the question "What is News?" and such issues as libel, privacy, the right to know, and freedom of information. May be used to fulfill the requirements for the English major. Prerequisite: ENGL 225 Introduction to Journalism.
