PRDV 73825 - Class in the Classroom: Insights from Sociology
An examination of the methods of sociology employed to investigate the correlation between socioeconomic class and specific patterns of parenting. These patterns of parenting influence the development of children’s relationships to structured time, figures of authority, and verbal directions. This class completes a close reading and analysis of Annette Lareau’s book, Unequal Childhoods: Class, Race, and Family Life.
