ESLI I060 - Intensive English Writing for Professional Purposes |
For students who have achieved an advanced level of English fluency and would like to develop specialized writing skills to use in the context of their profession. Class content includes: how to write a literature review; research practice; documenting sources using citations and references; advanced paraphrasing; and practicing various writing styles, including writing for publication, consumer and business letters, memorandums, and short reports. Students receive instructor supervision to develop individualized projects such as a poster presentation or a case study analysis relevant to their profession. NOTE: This class meets seven and one-half (7.5) hours per week.
Prerequisite: Students must test at a Level 4 or higher.
