COMM 380 - Advanced Film Production
An advanced study of production practices, technologies, and theories associated with the planning and creation of motion pictures. Students explore and execute advanced techniques while producing a variety of individual and group film projects which may incorporate animation, effects, sound design, motion graphics, photography and either documentary, experimental or narrative storytelling elements. The hands-on, production-oriented learning experience is supplemented with methodology-based research, lectures, demonstrations and possible field trips and guest lecturers. All student works are screened and critiqued by the class. Prerequisite: COMM 280 Introduction to Film Production or permission of the instructor.
