COMM 250 - Media/Society/Self
A study of the impact of popular culture upon contemporary society. Students examine the historical interplay of influences between the mass media and society. The effects of the mass media are critically evaluated within the context of media arts, advertising, politics, public relations, and news. Prerequisite: COMM 115 Introduction to Speech Communication or COMM 105 Foundations of Communication, or permission of instructor.
