PRDV 71224 - Integrating iPads into STEM Curriculum |
An exploration of how mobile technology and mobile apps can be integrated into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum to encourage an interactive and engaging learning experience for students. Participants review literature on the effectiveness of mobile technology in the teaching and learning environment, examine case studies of successful uses of mobile technology and mobile apps in STEM classes, review and evaluate mobile STEM apps, and create and evaluate STEM app-centric lessons. Even though the course covers the broad spectrum of mobile technology, the focus is on the iPad. Upon successful completion of this course, participants have a working knowledge of how to use mobile technology, specifically iPads, efficiently in a STEM classroom.
