PRDV 70524 - Remaking European History, Politics, and Culture since World War II |
An introduction to several important themes in the history of Europe since 1945. Emphasis is placed upon exploring the development of Europe in a comparative perspective. Participants discuss and critically assess chief events that shaped European History, such as World War Two and its aftermath, the Cold War, and Genocides, among others. In addition, participants assess several intellectual traditions and different schools of thought regarding the approach towards European History (East and West).
