| BIOL 234 - Comparative Vertebrate Physiology |

An introduction to the functions and relationships of vertebrate organs and organ systems. The course emphasizes physiological adaptations and mechanisms by which vertebrates compensate for environmental variations. Laboratory. Note: Students may receive credit for only one of the following courses: BIOL 234 Comparative Vertebrate Physiology, BIOL 272 Human Anatomy and Physiology I, or BIOL 333 Principles of Human Physiology.
Prerequisites: CHEM 107 Principles of Chemistry; BIOL 101 Biological Concepts or both BIOL 160 Introduction to Organismal Biology and BIOL 161 Introduction to Cell and Molecular Biology or permission of the instructor.
