NEUR 380 - Neuropharmacology |
An advanced investigation into the cellular and molecular mechanisms of exogenous compounds and the physiological and behavioral responses of the body. Use of substances to treat mental disorders is emphasized. Compounds examined may include alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs, prescription pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter medications and naturopathic treatments.
Prerequisites: NEUR 225 Biopsychology; or PSYC 101 General Psychology and any biology laboratory course; or permission of instructor.
