NEUR 306 - Neurophysiology
An advanced examination of how brain structure and function change when the central nervous system interacts with other physiological systems in the body. General brain anatomy is examined by using empirical research studies and historically significant human case studies. Cellular changes involved in learning and memory and the neuroendocrine system are used as examples of systemic interactions. Prerequisites: Either BIOL 235/235L Principles of Human Physiology with Lab or BIOL 241/241L Human Anatomy and Physiology I with Lab; and either NEUR 225 Biopsychology or PSYC 101 General Psychology; or permission of instructor.
