CRIM 218 - Crime Mapping |
A hands-on introduction to the basics of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and their applications in the field of criminology. Students use GIS applications to analyze crime data by creating maps that convey the spatial patterns of crime. Students explore strengths and limitations of geographic information for understanding and responding to crime. No prior experience with GIS is required.
