BIOL 130 - Principles of Biology |
An introduction to the principles and methods of biological science that serve as a foundation for students in majors other than Biology intending to take additional Biology electives. The course focuses on the following topics: ecology, evolution, biological diversity, biochemistry and cellular processes, genetics, and physiology. Students are required to enroll in the corresponding laboratory (3 hours). NOTE: This course is only open to majors in the departments of Chemistry & Food Science, Computer Science, Environment, Society, & Sustainability, and Food & Nutrition.
Corequisite: BIOL 130L Principles of Biology Lab.
Prerequisite: The eligibility to enroll in college level math without co-requisite remediation.
