ENVS 101 - Introduction to Environmental Science and Policy |
A comprehensive survey of the principles concerning the interactions of humans and their environments. The scientific foundations and the policy implications of population growth, natural resources, pollution, and agriculture are examined in the context of present capabilities and the prospects for future development. The course also considers the ways in which marginalized communities, including indigenous communities, are disproportionally impacted by current environmental policy-making.
Prerequisites: ENWR 110 Composition II (may be taken concurrently) and one (1) credit bearing math course (may be taken concurrently).
