SOCI 340 - Sociology of Work |
An investigation of different types of work and their role in people’s lives. Students examine how race, gender, social class, and historical forces influence entrance into various occupations, as well as the timing and sequencing of work and career-related events. In addition, students address issues such as sexual harassment, working conditions, and worker satisfaction.
Prerequisites: Sophomore standing and any course in Anthropology, Sociology, or Criminology; or permission of the instructor.
