ENGL 284 - Writing Fiction and Creative Nonfiction
A study in which students read and write both fiction and creative nonfiction and consider how the genres inform each other. Students give and receive feedback on work in progress. Students also engage in writing exercises and read related essays on questions of craft. Types of writing may include the short story, the personal essay, and writing about travel, food, nature, and society. Prerequisite: Completion of Common Core Writing Requirement (ENGL 110 Expository Writing) or permission of the instructor.
