SPED 964 - Collaborative Educational Planning |
A preparation and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to comply with existing
federal and state regulations. Topics include eligibility guidelines, inclusive service delivery
models and progress monitoring. Exemplary practices such as Response to Intervention, collaborative decision making, and inclusive practices and supports are addressed. Students examine appropriate resources and agencies, including those necessary to facilitate smooth
transitions into and out of public school settings, including early intervention transition to preschool and high school transition to post secondary experiences.
Prerequisite: SPED 960 Assessment Procedures. Open to matriculated graduate students or by
permission of the special education program coordinator.
