HLTH 495 - Internship in Health and Wellness |
A supervised work experience in the field of health and wellness that complements the student’s concentration. An ability to work independently is expected. A major project and additional coursework are required. A minimum of 120 hours must be completed in the placement setting within one (1) semester, which equates to at least eight (8) hours per week during fall and spring semesters and at least ten (10) hours per week during summer term. Students must submit an application to the department chair prior to approval in the semester preceding.
Prerequisites: Senior standing and a minimum GPA of 2.50 in all courses for the major. Department permission required.
