HSTY 356 - Holocaust and Genocide in the 20th Century
An examination of the history of genocide in the 20th century. Special attention is given to genocide theory, the history of the concept of race, and the themes of resistance and memory. With an initial focus on the Holocaust, the course examines a wide range of genocides across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Prerequisites: Sophomore standing and one (1) 100-level history course; or permission of instructor.
