ASGN 322 - American Sign Language: English Interpreting II |
A practical study of simultaneous interpreting dialogue in a variety of settings. These different settings require that students develop habits of research and preparation prior to the interpreting tasks. Skills practice is supplemented by a review of theories of interpreting and of interpersonal communication and their application to interpreted encounters. Students begin working in pairs to manage the more challenging nature of the settings and topics they must interpret.
Prerequisite: ASGN 321 American Sign Language/English Interpreting I.
