HSTY 313 - Civil Rights Movements in the United States
An examination of the civil rights movements in the United States during the twentieth century with particular emphasis placed on the post-World War II period. Defining civil rights broadly, this class analyzes the struggles of marginalized racial and ethnic groups, LGBTQ+, and people with disabilities to achieve equality in American society. Prerequisites: Sophomore standing and one (1) 100-level history course; or permission of instructor.
