BIOL 255 - Plant Physiology |
An introduction to basic processes that regulate plant growth and development. Photosynthesis, photomorphogenesis, hormonal control, and mineral acquisition are emphasized. Students are required to enroll in the corresponding laboratory (3 hours). The laboratory has an open-ended design with an emphasis on repeatability of experimental results.
Corequisite: BIOL 255L Plant Physiology Lab.
Prerequisites: CHEM 107 Principles of Chemistry with Lab; BIOL 160 Introduction to Organismal Biology with and BIOL 161 Introduction to Cell and Molecular Biology with Lab, or BIOL 130 Principles of Biology with Lab or BIOL 135 Foundations of Biological Science with Lab.
