GEOG 240 - Land Use Law and Policy |
An overview of legal and policy matters as applicable to land use in local municipalities. Topics include zoning and subdivision regulations, wetland protection, comprehensive planning, affordable housing, smart growth, and protection of open space. This course is designed for students whose interest in land use policies or whose field of present or future employment would be enhanced by a basic understanding of legal and policy matters as they apply to cities and towns.
