CRIM 233 - Victimization and Justice |
An examination of the experience of being a victim of harm. This course surveys the impacts of various types of harm on the people who are most directly affected. Emphasis is placed on how social status shapes a person’s experiences of both criminal and non-criminal harm and justice. Students engage with the responses to victimization by the criminal-legal system, social welfare agencies, government, and the media.
