ENGL 217 - The History of Children¿s Literature
A survey of children's literature from the eighteenth century to the present. Topics may include early chapbooks, picture books, and the development of the novel for children. Students examine changing representations of the child and the role literature has played in defining childhood. Prerequisite: Completion of Common Core Writing Requirement (ENGL 110 Expository Writing) or permission of the instructor.
