GEOG 212 - Geographic Perspectives on the Global Environment
An introductory survey stressing the geographic approach to the study of man/land relationships. Emphasis is placed on the impact of human activities on the environment and on conflicts between resource exploitation and environmental quality. Contemporary geographic themes concerning the environment: perception, natural resource utilization, modification by urbanization, and environmental regions are studied. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing or permission of instructor.
