Students explore descriptive and philosophical perspectives in the field of linguistics such as Structuralism, Universal Grammar, speech genres, and also analyze the phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics of different languages. The study of linguistic approaches and features guides a reflection about language acquisition and learning, language and culture, and language and society.
