CSCI 156 - Python Programming for Applications
An introduction to computational problem-solving using Python, open to all majors, with an emphasis on moving, storing, searching and discovering patterns in numeric, textual, or visual data sets. Introductory topics include installing the necessary software, establishing and using online resources for retrieving and submitting assignments, and creating online repositories. Additional topics focus on the basic structure of Python programing including variable types, control flow, functions, use of public libraries and extensions, and how to write efficient, modular code to solve real-world problems.
