| STAA 127 - Statistics for Social Sciences |

An introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics used in the social sciences. The logic, assumptions, computation, and interpretation of inferential statistics are covered. Topics include: measures of central tendency, and variability; the normal distribution, correlation, chi-square test of independence; one-sample and independent-samples t-tests; one-way and two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Note: Students may not receive credit for both this course and STAT 107 Business Statistics or STAT 117 Introduction to Statistics or STAT 157 Probability and Statistics or STAT 208 Biostatistics.
Prerequisite: Eligibility to enroll in a 100-level mathematics course without Lab Emporium.
