BIOL 336 - Ornithology |
An introduction to the biology of birds, including anatomy, physiology, behavior, ecology, field identification, and conservation. Students become familiar with the techniques and tools necessary to identify bird species by sight and/or sound, as well as with basic research techniques. Students are required to enroll in the corresponding laboratory (3 hours) which includes field trips.
Prerequisite: A biology or zoology course at the 100-level or permission of the instructor.
