SOCI 315 - Social Class
An exploration of class division in the United States. The course considers questions such as: What are the major social classes in our society? To which class do we belong? How likely is it that we will change our class over time? How does the unequal distribution of wealth affect our life chances, quality of life, power, status, and beliefs? Is the current class system fair, and what are the alternatives? Prerequisite: A 100-level Sociology course or permission of instructor.
