BIOL 233 - Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy
An introduction to the evolution of vertebrate anatomy. The course is a survey of the anatomical designs of living and extinct vertebrates, emphasizing the anatomical adaptions of vertebrate organs and organ systems in primitive chordates, fishes, reptiles, and mammals. Laboratories are primarily dissection based. Laboratory. Prerequisites: BIOL 160 Introduction to Organismal Biology and BIOL 161 Introduction to Cell and Molecular Biology; or BIOL 101 Biological Concepts and one (1) other science laboratory course; or permission of the instructor.
