ARTS 910 - Introduction to Art Therapy |
An introduction to the theory and practice of art therapy. Materials and varied artistic media are explored with the goals of understanding the relevance of the practices and theory to education, art therapy, art making, and psychology. Students are introduced to the profession of art therapy, the relevance of art therapy to teaching, and the relationship between art therapy and the creative process.
Prerequisites: One Studio Art or Psychology course; or the permission of the instructor.
