NUTR 616 - Nutrition and Child Nutrition Programs |
A review of basic nutrition principles and dietary recommendation with emphasis on child nutrition and prevention of chronic disease. The US Dietary Guidelines as they relate to personal health and menu planning for child nutrition is included. Each student will complete and analyze a three-day personal dietary intake and a five-day school food program menu.
Note: this course requires students to have access to the Internet for course assignments.
