NUED 910 - Nutrition Science in the Classroom |
An update for teachers on the application of nutrition principles and research that support
dietary guidelines established by the government and voluntary health agencies. Current dietary
issues include: heart disease, vitamin supplementation, fad diets, and child and adolescent
health. Resources for classroom instruction are presented along with computer applications
in nutrition education. This course cannot be applied to graduate or certificate programs for
nutrition professionals. Credit will not be given for this course and 34.760 Nutrition Science in
the Classroom. Prerequisite: Bachelor's degree.
