MATH 926 - Geometry for Middle School Teachers II
A continuation of MATH 908 Geometry for Middle School Teachers I in which students investigate finite, taxicab, sherical, and non-Euclidean geometrics with an emphasis on hyperbolic geometry. Applications of these geometries to real life problems and other areas of mathematics are surveyed. Students create modules adapting this material to their classrooms. NOTE: This course is also open to high school teachers. Prequisites: MATH 908 Geometry for Middle School Teachers I and MATH 910 Algebra for the Middle School Teacher.
