LTRC 922 - Reading: The Literacy Coach |
Designed to address the basic responsibilities of the Literacy Coach. Topics include roles and
responsibilities, knowledge of the reading process and how that process applies to each stage of
literacy learning, benchmarks of literacy learning, assessment collection and interpretation of
data, components of a comprehensive literacy program, practical aspects of literacy coaching,
working relationships with school administrators, and appropriate ways to advocate change.
Prerequisite:Initial license as Specialist Teacher: Reading.
