HIST 881 - Remaking Europe: History, Politics, and Culture since World War II |
An examination of European history since the end of World War II. In this course students
analyze how the politics, culture and society of both Western and Eastern Europe have been
transformed since 1945. Topics covered may include the Cold War, decolonization, the emergence
of the European Union, the fall of communism, and migration. Special focus is placed on
European identities and how they have changed since 1945.
