CPSY 901 - Theories of Psychotherapy and Counseling
An examination of the theoretical, empirical bases, and application of the various counseling models. Students explore the nature of the client-therapist relationship in the context of different approaches and techniques of psychotherapy and counseling (e.g., psychoanalytic, behavior modification, client-centered, rational-emotive, and family systems). Open to non-matriculated students. Prerequisites: PSYC 215 Psychology of Personality or PSYC 322 Abnormal Psychology or the equivalent.
